The #1 Recommended Affiliate Marketing Course for Beginners

starting out online marketingIf you’ve read my page on Internet Income 101, then you know that one of the top places I recommend most people to start earning money online is through affiliate marketing.

The barrier to entry is very low, and its reasonable to expect that anyone, regardless of prior experience, can invest just a few hundred dollars, and a few hours a week, and have a profitable site up and running in less than a year.

Compared to the costs of starting a traditional business, these online startup costs are practically negligible. Low risk, but with a determination to succeed, it’s very doable.

So, how do you spend that few hundred dollar investment?

In two ways. The first is fairly obvious. You need to have a website. The good news is that a domain will only set you back about $15 a year, and hosting is between $60-90 a year, depending on what type of plan you choose. For starters, I always say go basic, and you can upgrade later if need be. Click here to read more about website costs.

That means you’re spending less than $100 on the actual website, and maybe you also want to get an email marketing service, like Mailchimp or Aweber, which are also very inexpensive these. You can even start for free and only upgrade when you’re ready.

I don’t mean to sound like grandpa with that statement, but it’s true. Making money online is not random. There’s a proven formula for success that you need to know. While you could go around reading dozens of blogs to try to piece it together, you’ll ultimately be left with conflicting opinions and an inability to figure out exactly what steps you need to take.

For that reason, I recommend you choose an affiliate marketing course, and stick with that course until you start earning money. The worst thing you can do is to bounce around between different theories and projects, without ever pushing any one of them to the brink of earning real money.

Top Choices: Wealthy Affiliate and Affilorama

Once you’ve decided that you should purchase a course, the next question is which course you should invest in.

To me, there are two clear winners.

Wealthy Affiliate University is a great platform that’s been around since the early 2000s, and has morphed and grown as trends in affiliate marketing has changed over the years. It offers a free trial for each and every one of its members, which makes it an easy decision to start with, and see how it fits for you.

Affilorama is another leading program, and a good recommendation if you’re just starting out. You’ll have access to a ton of video training as well as blogs and other resources, and the benefit of Affilorama is that the marketing training is tied into some of the best affiliate software around, though that’s an additional cost, and I don’t think you need all of that if you’re starting on a tight budget. You just need to get to the point of monetization as quickly as possible.

I hope this post helps you figure out which beginning affiliate marketing program you should choose, and how to get started earning money online in one of the fastest and easiest routes available to you!

What To Know About Earning Money Online

money spicketTo inaugurate this blog, I thought I’d write on one of the greatest myths of working online, and what you should be prepared for if you’re absolutely serious about trying to earn a full time income working on your own websites and other online projects.

The myth is quite simple: “The internet is a magical place where money will flow to anyone who desires it.”

The truth is, well, a little different.

What It Takes To Succeed

Throughout this blog, I hope to share a lot of tips with you on what it really takes to succeed online.

The first and best tip I can provide, however, is something that should be common sense.

In order to earn money online, you’re going to need to work for it. There is no magical fount or spicket that you can turn on today and start an endless stream of money flowing in tomorrow.

Trust me, I’ve looked for it. And so have thousands of others out there. If it were a real thing, it would completely disrupt our international economy, and everyone would be exceedingly wealthy, right?

So, if you’re going to succeed, you need to get that out of your head RIGHT NOW!

The Reality of Making Money Online

The reality of making money online is that yes, it is possible to earn five, six, and even seven figures a year typing away and working on websites.

To get to that point, however, takes a lot of work.

Passive income simply means that you work now, and receive income later (kind of like stock dividends), it does NOT mean that you work for 2 hours today and retire tomorrow.

Little by little, you can grow your earnings, and because your earnings will compound with time, after several months or several years of working diligently you will be earning a healthy income.

That’s the reality. My point is not to try to scare anyone off from trying to earn money through affiliate marketing, or any other way of earning money online.

I’m just trying to pain a realistic picture so that you don’t burn out after 3 weeks and decide every program out there is a scam. Instead, I want you to give it a shot, and I want you to succeed. In the meantime I just hope you’re prepared for what it really takes.
